Abstract

The contemporary literature in French produced by allophone writers has been massively “institutionalized” by literary prizes, media promotion, and inclusion in school curricula. But all the efforts toward its theorization have collided with the difficulty to produce taxonomies for writers whose origins are so diverse that they prevent any categorization. The present article offers new criteria for building a possible literary corpus and argues that its development is specific to a new global reality.
