Nubentes e mobilidade geográfica em Portugal no século XIX (1800-1830): o concelho de Marvão
Abstract
Resumo: Este artigo estuda a nupcialidade no concelho de Marvão entre 1800 e 1830. Os registos paroquiais constituem o suporte empírico. O seu tratamento quantitativo permite realizar o estudo da formação da família. Aborda-se, por um lado, o número e o tipo de casamentos e recasamentos; por outro, a mobilidade geográfica, analisada a partir dos matrimónios, dependendo do sexo e estado civil. O objetivo último deste artigo é o de conhecer o comportamento da nupcialidade tendo em conta a mobilidade dos
nubentes viúvos e solteiros numa curta, média e longa distância.
