As receitas e despesas da Câmara de Penafiel: a importância das rendas nas finanças municipais (1782-1820)
Abstract
O presente trabalho visa o estudo da estrutura e evolução das finanças da Câmara Municipal de Penafiel, entre 1782 e 1820, com um foco particular nas rendas camarárias e nos rendeiros. Esta investigação baseia-se, essencialmente, nos livros de receitas e despesas e nos livros de autos de arrematação. De um modo geral, aspira-se: a uma apresentação precisa das receitas e despesas, organizando-as em diferentes grupos; ao estudo das rendas camarárias, da sua importância nas contas
municipais e do perfil social dos rendeiros; apresentar a estrutura e evolução das contas municipais e a sua articulação com as conjunturas.
