Da Monarquia para a República: os oficiais do Exército perante o 5 de Outubro
Abstract
Este estudo pretende explorar, numa primeira fase, a forma como os oficiais do Exército se posicionaram em relação ao regime monárquico durante os últimos anos de Monarquia Constitucional. Depois, o artigo procura oferecer uma hipótese interpretativa que explica como é que os oficiais acabaram por aceitar a
ideologia republicana e, consequentemente, a instauração do novo regime.
