Abstract

O estudo dos portos de pequena e média dimensão têm-se revelado essenciais para a compreensão das dinâmicas económicas portuárias do Portugal Moderno. A nossa dissertação de mestrado centrou-se num caso de estudo, a comunidade marítima de Caminha no século XVI. Pretendemos aqui desenvolver o papel que este pequeno porto desempenhou nos jogos de complementaridades do complexo portuário do noroeste português.
