Abstract
Collections and works on the History of Portugal after the 25th of April: politics and editorial action
ABSTRACT
This article presents a preliminary census of collections and works published in Portugal in the period immediately after the 25th of April on the country's recent history, at the time, bringing to light themes, testimonies and memories that were hitherto prohibited, or that were under strong censorship. previously. The number of collections and works indicates that this theme had great prominence in the editors' actions during this period, showing the interest that the issue aroused among the public. I will highlight the design of some of these collections and their editors. I believe that they became, at that moment, part of a great cultural, intellectual and political movement to renew the ways in which the Portuguese began to reinterpret the country's history relating to the Estado Novo period.
Keywords: 25th of April and memory; History books after the 25th of April; Political edition.
