The The course of the Portuguese Federalist Movement- Progress Party
Abstract
Abstract (EN): This article deals with one of the main partisan movements of the political right of the post-revolutionary period of April 1974, the Portuguese Federalist Movement-Progress Party, of brief existence, but with extensive territorial implantation and a notable network of contacts, having an official weekly newspaper. It has not been the subject of a systematic historical study until today. To this end, the MFP-PP is analyzed by jointly relating the historical-political era with the vicissitudes of the movement, with particular focus on its relationship with the institutions of revolutionary power, its relationship with other political parties, as well as the structuring of the MFP -PP.
Keywords: MFP-PP, Nationalism, Federalism, Spinolism.
