Abstract

Abstract: In this article, with a time frame between the years 1824-1825, it was analyzed the content transcribed in the Protocol of negotiations that envisaged an act of reconciliation between Brazil and Portugal, and it was also analyzed the text of the result of these negotiations: the Treaty of Peace and Alliance between Brazil and Portugal, signed in 1825, a legal instrument through which Portugal recognized the Independence of Brazil.
