THE IMPORTANCE OF REFLECTIVE PRACTICE IN THE “1, 2, 3 MACAQUINHO DO XINÊS” PROGRAM IN PROMOTING THE RIGHT TO PLAY.

This article presents itself as a systematization of the development of a practice that aims to pro- mote the Children’s Right to Play, according to the revisions described in the General Comment No.17 of the United Nations Children’s Committee, and considering that it has been gaining a lot of atten- tion in social, educational and scientific discourses. It was focused the fundamental importance of the use of reflection processes, in order to achieve the goal of promoting play contexts where children can decide as freely as possible. It is intended that this analysis may not only serve as a lens for other professionals whose mission is focused on chil- dren, but also as a way to raise awareness about the value of using reflective practices for actively listening to children’s play.
