Author Guidelines

REDIS, Revista de Estudos do Discurso, receives the following text proposals for publication:

Article – original text that takes as its objective the reasoned presentation of the researched work.

Review – critically discusses a recently published work.

Guidelines:

  1. The content of the texts is the sole responsibility of the authors.
  2. The minimum qualification for publication in the REDIS journal is a master's degree, except in cases where the author submits an article in collaboration with another more qualified senior researcher.
  3. Authors or co-authors may be associated with a single submission within the scope of an issue. For new submissions, the deadlines for the next issue must be taken into account.
  4. Texts can be presented in Portuguese (according to the current Orthographic Agreement), English, French, or Spanish.
  5. For submission, authors must send the anonymized article without author identification. References to the university, graduate program, research projects, and research groups must also be anonymized to ensure the blind nature of the evaluation. References to the authors' previous works should be indicated as AUTHORSHIP.
  6. In the submission, authors must also send a separate document containing their details: i. Full name; ii. Preferred citation format; iii. Institutional affiliation; iv. Country; v. Email; vi. ORCiD; vii. Research funding (undergraduate scholarship, master's, doctoral, post-doctoral, productivity, projects, among others). Note: In the case of co-authorship, the order of authors must also be indicated, providing all the above data.
  7. As an initial stage of the editorial process, the REDIS editorial committee will assess the relevance of the text in relation to the journal's scope, quality, and compliance with the stipulated formal requirements. Only texts approved at this stage will proceed to the blind peer review stage.
  8. The texts will be subject to a blind reviewing process with a view to their possible publication.
  9. Authors may be asked to revise the texts through the evaluation carried out, with the final decision on publication being the sole responsibility of the REDIS management.
  10. To be published, the text needs to pass through the two final approval stages: 1. approval by reviewers (reviews/revisions); and 2. approval by the editorial committee, which will assess the modifications made by the author(s) in response to the evaluations.
  11. Texts will be published in one of the issues according to the schedule: i. approved by May 15th, included in the July edition; ii. approved by October 15th, included in the December edition.
