Abstract

The article's reflection is based on the deductive hypothetical critical method. A basic, strategic, descriptive and qualitative bibliographical research
aims to critically analyze the results on the issue of death from the perspective of Christian existentialist philosophy. The credibility of the article is based on the
assertion that death is, without a doubt, a research object of great relevance to scientific knowledge, because it is inherent and inseparable from human existence. In Christian existentialism, death is understood as the end of everything, but the end is understood as a goal reached and the beginning of a new life. As Leonardo Boff says: “death is the place of the true birth of man,” since every death recalls a birth. Death, therefore, is not the annihilation and reduction of the human being to absolute nothingness, but the transformation of his entire being. The source of the
research is secondary and based on the idea of thinkers who reflected on death not from a philosophical-nihilistic point of view, but who made a reflection from a transcendental philosophy.
