Integration Strategies of the Chadian Student Diaspora in the Context of Vocational Training: The Case of the Free Auditors at the École Normale Supérieure (Cameroon)
Resumo
Student immigration is one of the most widespread in Africa. In the CEMAC, Cameroon is like a host country and Chad like a departure country. So, how does the Chadian student diaspora of the Yaoundé Higher Normal School fit in? The study is mixed and empirical-deductive. The triangulation combines non-participant observation, fieldwork and content. Chadian students at the ENS benefit from weak institutional support from Cameroon and Chad. They also develop individual and collective solidarity initiatives, which include the development of small trades, shared accommodation and community movements.
